For years, Girls Inc. focused on addressing single topics with girls, but parents yearned for more - a comprehensive program that offered a roadmap for their daughter's future.
Thus, EmpowerHub™ was formed, evolving from occasional school visits to a year-round, high-impact program tailored specifically for middle school girls to give them what they craved: more time, more substance, and more opportunities for personal growth and empowerment.
At its core, EmpowerHub™ fosters a nurturing environment where every girl connects with mentors to explore her interests, build confidence, and unlock her full potential.

Because EmpowerHub™ has more demand than program spots available each year, we select applicants using a computer-generated randomization process. Each family may fill out one application, allowing families to enroll easily and equitably.

• WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE EMPOWERHUB™ PROGRAM?
EmpowerHub™ is open to 6th grade girls attending an IPS middle school, including Arlington, Broad Ripple, Harshman, H. W. Longfellow, T.C. Howe, Northwest and William Penn Middle Schools.
• WHAT IS THE DURATION OF THE PROGRAM?
The program takes place during your child's 6th grade 2024-2025 school year. EmpowerHub™ begins the week of September 9, 2024 and ends the week of May 2, 2025.
• WHEN DOES THE PROGRAM TAKE PLACE?
The program takes place during the school day, so you do not need to take them anywhere extra to participate.
• WHAT ARE THE EXPECTATIONS OF PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS?
Participants should come to each session with a positive attitude, ready to ask questions, and excited to discover more about themselves and the world around them! Even if your girl isn't feeling great about herself or her friends coming into the program, we can help her.
• WHAT COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED FROM PARENTS/GUARDIANS?
All that is required is simple consent (aka your permission!) for your child's participation in the program and to communicate any important information to help us better support their child's needs.
